I'm back from my trip to Russia and wanted to tell you how wonderful it was.  I had looked for a trip that was well structured and detailed, and The Grand Tour of Russia was all that and more.  I felt comfortable and safe the whole trip.  From the moment I was met at the Moscow Airport until the moment I left, every detail was attended to.  Our hotels were wonderful and our guides, Alex in Moscow and Maria in St. Petersburg, were amazing.  Both were warm, gracious and incredibly knowledgeable with a deep love of their home cities. I fell in love with the history and the beauty of the country and felt I left with a deeper understanding of Russia and its people.

Hi, I just want to make a few comments about our Grand Russia tour .  Moscow  hotel The Intercontinental   was fabulous. The service, room and the buffet breakfast were all excellent! Everyone there was professional and friendly. The location was superb and we found the bank, supermarket, etc. a few minutes away. Our guide, Ludmila was superb as well and we had so much to see in a day. Visiting 3 museums in a day was very intense. The Cosmonaut museum was fascinating and I think we needed more time there. Perhaps that could have been seen first thing in the morning. Ludmila did a fantastic job of showing us everything!

 Golden Ring was fantastic as well. Hotel Nikolaevshy Posad was so beautiful.

First of all Alex was great to work with. From May of 2017 when I first proposed this idea to the day before we left in March 2018, Alex was on top of all of the plans and helped guide me through it all. He is very easy to work with and very knowledgeable about putting together an interesting tour package at a very affordable price. The tours were wonderful, covering a lot to see in such a short time, yet were not overwhelming for a group dealing with a new culture and jet lag. The tour guides in Russia were awesome; very knowledgeable about their respective cities and the tours they provided as well as extremely helpful when asked for suggestions about our days off in each city.

What a trip! Our selection of East-West Tours was the best choice we could have made. Everything, from airport pick-up to airport goodbye was excellent and consumer oriented. We could not have been handled in a better way. Russia was exciting, eye-opening and a place all should visit and East-West did their best to make the trip as enjoyable as possible. We just came back from our Grand Tour of Russia. It was all that we had hoped for. The airport transfers appeared when they were supposed to. The guides did too. They were terrific, encyclopedias of knowledge, with excellent English skills, and a warm friendly approach. The hotels were modern, recently renovated, with first class facilities, excellent breakfast buffets, and fast internet connections. The sites we saw gave us a deep appreciation of the sweep of Russian history and Russian Civilization from its Medieval beginnings to the Revolution and Wars of the 20th century, and the rebirth of the 21st Century. The Grand Tour was the most comprehensive tour I could find when I looked for a tour of Russia. It lived up to its billing.

I have been meaning to write to you and say a big thank you for your assistance in organising our trip to Russia earlier this year . Everything worked out better than we could possibly have imagined. I also would like to say that our tour guides, especially Olga in Moscow, were fabulous -- so professional and dedicated, but very friendly and helpful also.
