Hi Dora – I wanted to thank you for all the help you provided me in our trip. We had a wonderful time. The guides and logistics you provided were outstanding. Everything worked well (other than delayed flights over which left us stranded for a time in Iceland before finally getting to Stockholm). I can't say enough about Maria (Mosha) – our guide in St. Petersburg. She was an expert in the history, art history, architecture,and culture of Russia. She was absolutely encyclopedic. We took the 5 day St Petersburg tour in late Oct/early Nov. It was fantastic. Everything worked out well. Bobby was knowledgeable and helpful in getting things set up. One great feature of the De Luxe category was the priority disembarkation – we avoided the long lines through Russian passport control and were able to setoff right away. The drivers were good, the guide, Anastasia, was fluent, knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable, whether we needed a potty break or a cup of coffee. The hotel was comfortable and centrally located. I'm glad we did the tour in the off season as I'm sure the crowds are formidable during the peak season. If I did the tour again, I would ask for one less palace (probably Pushkin).

Our visa-free tour from Helsinki to St Petersburg was wonderful! All arrangements worked out smoothly. The ferry trips on the St. Peterline’s “Princess Maria” from and to Helsinki were pleasant with a comfortable, roomy cabin and excellent food for dinners and breakfasts. As promised, a private tour guide (Ludmilla), with car and driver (Dmitri) were at the St Petersburg ferry terminal to meet us. It was a warm and sunny day for the extensive tour of the city and it was certainly a benefit to have a private guide for our visit to the Hermitage Museum, bypassing the queues. Ludmilla was an excellent guide throughout the entire day and we are grateful to her for her willingness to answer all our questions.
