A week long visit to Poland includes Warsaw and Krakow, the two cities not to be missed  This tour includes sightseeing in both with a fast train in between and several optional tours to choose from.

Day 1  : Warsaw

You visit to Poland starts with after arrival at the Warsaw airport or rail station, you will be met and transferred to your downtown hotel. You'll have the rest of the day at leisure to relax or take a walk in town. Overnight in Warsaw.

Day 2  : Warsaw

After breakfast, you will have a half-day, guided tour of the most important sights in Warsaw. You will see Old Town with the Royal Castle, the Royal Route and "Lazienki" - the Royal Parks.  You will also see the former Jewish Ghetto and the monument dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. Free time in the late afternoon to relax or explore on yor own.  Overnight in Warsaw.  (B)

Day 3  : Warsaw to Krakow by fast train

In the morning you'll be transferred to the Warsaw rail station for departure on the express train to Krakow. The 3-hour train journey takes you through pleasantly varied landscapes of the Polish countryside.  Upon arrival in Krakow, you will be met by our driver and taken to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Krakow. (B)

Day 4  : Krakow

After breakfast, join your guide for a tour of Krakow.  You'll see the Main Market Square with St. Mary's Basilica, the Cloth Hall with its historical trade pavilions, the Royal Route and Wawel Hill with the impressive Royal Castle and Cathedral. You will also take a walking tour of the Old Jewish Quarter - Kazimierz, where Steven Spielberg shot "Schindler's List."  The afternoon is free to go shopping or explore the city on your own.  Optional dinner at a local restaurant with live music this evening. Overnight in Krakow. (B)

Day 5  : Krakow

After breakfast, join your guide and choose one of these two optional tours:

The Wieliczka Salt Mine- a visit to the famous Royal Salt Mine with many underground chambers including a chapel and salt sculptures;

or a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oswiecim, the infamous Nazi extermination camp from World War II. Overnight in Krakow. (B)

Day 6  : Krakow

After breakfast, you will have a choice of one of these two full-day tours:

- Czestochowa - the Black Madonna monastery, one of the most important pilgrimage centers in Europe, or

- Zakopane, the "winter capital of Poland" a resort town in the foothills of the Tatra Mountains, a beautiful scenic area with unique folk culture and traditions and local food specialties.

Return to your Krakow hotel in the evening. Overnight in Krakow. (B)

Day 7  : Departure from Krakow

After breakfast, transfer to the airport or the rail station for your departure. (B)
