Itinerary:

A tour on the legendary Trans Siberian Railroad is one of the greatest travel adventures in the world. The historic route between Moscow, Lake Baikal and Beijing is the heart of all travel variants: The exciting days of your journey are delivering three of the world’s largest countries directly to your compartment. Day 1  : Welcome to Moscow

Welcome on out Trans Siberian tour by private train "Tsar's Gold". Meet your tour director at the airport and transfer to the hotel (valid for certain arrival times). Explore the Russian capital in a beautiful illumination on your "Moscow by Night" city tour. Afterwards you visit the famous Red Square and ride Moscow’s Metro stations in all their splendor and beauty. Overnight in a centrally located deluxe hotel. (D)

Day 2  : Sightseeing Moscow

Your overview city tour starts after the breakfast with the Kremlin area and visit to one of the magnificent Kremlin cathedrals. In the evening the group boards the train and starts the Trans Siberian journey across Russia. Our next stop is Kazan. (B, L, D)

Day 3  : Kazan

In the morning arrival in Kazan, ancient capital of the Tatars, where you will explore the old city and visit its famous Kremlin. In the afternoon enjoy a boat trip on a legendary Russian Volga river. Your private “Tsar’s Gold” Train resumes its journey in the evening. (B, L, D)

Day 4  : Ekaterinburg

In the afternoon stop in Ekaterinburg, we take a brief tour of the newly restored city center. During the tour you will see the newly erected Cathedral-on-the-Blood, built in memory of the tragic event in the history of Russia - execution of the Romanov family. Back on the train your journey continues through the vast steppes of Western Siberia of Russia. (B, L, D)

Day 5  : Novosibirsk

Today we reach Novosibirsk, the very heart of Siberia, where you will receive a warm welcome in the traditional Russian manner with bread and salt. Your city tour includes a visit of the Transsiberian monument and the mighty Ob River. After dinner, the train continues its journey eastwards. (B, L, D)

Day 6  : Across Siberia

Your private “Tsar’s Gold train continues its journey over the Yenisei River through Siberia. The on-board restaurant chef once again demonstrates his skills with the specialty "Tsar’s Feast". Enjoy Russian hospitality during the vodka and caviar tasting while passing by amazing Russian landscapes. (B, L, D)

Day 7  : Irkutsk

In the morning our train arrives in Irkutsk, the capital of Eastern Siberia. During a city tour you will see cute Siberian wooden cottages, the new erected statue of Alexander III and the lively market hall. After lunch, we will take an excursion to the open-air museum "Life and Work in the Time of the Tsars”. Overnight in the centrally located hotel in Irkutsk. (B, L, D)

Day 8  : Lake Baikal

Today you will take a bus tour to the Siberian village of Listvyanka on the shores of Lake Baikal. Afterwards the boat will carry you across the deep waters to Port Baikal, where your Private Train will be waiting for you. It will take you along the shore of Lake Baikal for several hours on ancient rail tracks. Dinner tonight is served in typical local style as a picnic on the shores of the lake (weather permitting). Day 9  : From Lake Baikal to Ulan Ude on to Mongolia

Explore a different part of the mystical Lake Baikal, and then onwards through the magnificent valley of Selenga through the wild and lonely mountain steppes of Eastern Siberia. On the way to the Mongolian border the train will stop in Ulan Ude for an exciting city tour and then continue its journey towards Mongolia. (B, L, D)

Day 10  : Ulan Bator and Gandan Monastery

In the morning you arrive in Ulan Bator. The city tour includes the impressive Buddhist Gandan Monastery, the open air railway museum and the Lama Museum. In the evening, your tour guides show you the best beer pub in the city. You spend the night in a centrally located hotel in Ulan Bator. (B, L, D)

Day 11  : Ulan Bator and the Mongolian Alps

Today we will explore an area called the Mongolian Switzerland. After breakfast we take a bus tour to the beautiful countryside with lunch at the Ger nomadic settlements and a Mongolian horseback riding show. In the evening your private “Tsar’s Gold” train will travel onward to the Chinese border. (B, L, D)

Day 12  : Through the Gobi desert

In the early morning your train stops in the middle of the Gobi Desert. By noon we reach the Chinese border, where we will have to switch the trains due to the different Chinese track gauge. The Chinese train has no Nostalgic or Bolshoi cars, only two and four-bed compartments. You will reach Beijing in about 15 hours. (B, L, D)

Day 13  : Welcome to Beijing

After observing impressive scenes of Chinese rural life from your train window, you arrive in Beijing in the morning, where you will spend three nights in a first class centrally located hotel. (B, L)

Day 14  : Beijing––Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City

A full-day city tour of Beijing will take you to the Temple of Heaven and its park as well as Tiananmen Square followed by a guided tour through the interior of the Forbidden City in the afternoon. (B, L)

Day 15  : The Great Wall and Peking Duck

Today you enjoy a day trip to the Great Wall. Your program includes a tour of the Ming Tombs, a pearl cultivation farm, and the avenue of the spirits. In the evening you will enjoy a dinner featuring the world-famous specialty Peking Duck. (B, L, D)

Day 16  : Beijing and back home

Our wonderful Trans Siberian trip filled with unique and unforgettable experiences comes to an end as you start your return home. (B)

Chinese Train:
Between Erlian and Beijing (about 16 hours) accommodation in comfortable sleeping quarters - the Chinese train does not carry sleeping cars of the Nostalgic Comfort and Bolshoi / Bolshoi Platinum category and does not have shower facilities. Onboard the Chinese train single and double accommodation cannot be guaranteed except for categories Bolshoi and Bolshoi Platinum.
